WASHINGTON ­– Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) proudly announces the 30 finalists for the 2019 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. The finalists represent large and small employers, as well as public sector organizations. ESGR received 2,415 nominations for this prestigious award for employers throughout 50 states, Guam-CNMI, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia.

Local Martial Arts Academy receives Department of Defense Seven Seals Award

North Pole Police Department Receives Multiple Department of Defense Awards
NORTH POLE, Alaska – North Pole Police Chief Steve Dutra and police Lt. Jeromey Lindhag received the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award during a North Pole City Council Meeting on Jan. 22 in recognition of their extraordinary support of an employee that serves in the Reserves.

GCI Director receives Department of Defense Patriot Award during GCI Veteran Appreciation Breakfast
ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Department Manager Andrew Trotter of GCI received the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award during an Annual Veterans Day Appreciation Breakfast. Over 50 service members were present or called in to the event which consisted of a breakfast served by GCI management and a roll call in which each veteran announced his branch of service and years served.
