HONOLULU – Barbara Horton of Kaiser Permanente received the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award recently for the extraordinary support she provides to her employee, Capt. Matthew Tom, United States Army Reserve.
GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. – U.S. Air Force Reserve Staff Sgt. Diana Morales-Carlson of the 934th Airlift Wing, nominated her Mortenson Construction supervisor Ellie Domich for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award.
WASHINGTON – The 2024 Secretary of Defense Freedom Award nomination season opens soon, meaning Guard and Reserve servicemembers across the nation can submit their exceptional employers for national recognition beginning October 1 until December 31.
Brookhaven, Miss. – King’s Daughters Medical Center (KDMC) new chief financial officer is Adam Moore who also serves in the Army Reserves as a lieutenant colonel in Concord, North Carolina. Moore nominated his supervisor, Ronny Humes for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award. ESGR volunteers coordinated with Moore and Melissa Leggett to surprise Ronny in the lobby of KDMC with many fellow employees in attendance.
EVERETT, Wash. – Pachomius Schmidt, assistant principal at Eisenhower Middle School, was presented with the Patriot Award by John Van Dalen, an ombudsman for the Washington Employer of the Guard and Reserve Committee, for support of his employee who serves in the Reserve Component.
OLYMPIA, Wash. – Jeff deGraan, a supervisor at the Washington Department of Natural Resources was presented with a Patriot Award, by Mary Miller, south sound co-chair for the Washington Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee, in recognition of extraordinary support of his employees serving in the Guard and Reserve.
TACOMA, Wash. – Doug Kimball, battalion chief at the Tacoma Fire Department was presented with a Patriot Award, by Jim Miller, awards director for the Washington Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee, in recognition of extraordinary support of his employees serving in the Guard and Reserve.
