WASHINGTON – Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) proudly announces the 30 finalists for the 2021 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. The finalists include small and large private and public sector employers nominated by a National Guard or Reserve Component employee employed in their organization. ESGR received 3,382 nominations for this prestigious award for employers throughout the 50 states, Guam-CNMI, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and District of Columbia.

WASHINGTON – Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense (DoD) program, has identified 140 employers as semifinalists for the 2021 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award, commonly referred to as the Freedom Award.

Civilian employers who encourage a culture of supporting reservists and guardsman make sure that it is not a singular effort by just a direct supervisor, but that there is a team of supervisors and employees supporting those who serve.
