ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Army National Guard Sgt. Jack Taufen is presenting the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award to his employment supervisor, Nick Bischoff.

Design Electric received the award recently in recognition of Nick Bischoff’s support of his employee's service to the Minnesota National Guard.

Jack [Sgt. Taufen] was very appreciative of Nick’s assistance with his service and Guard deployments and wanted to honor Nick. Also present were Bob Boone and John Briegel as Minnesota Committee members. Nick Bischoff signed an ESGR Statement of Support, which demonstrated his company's commitment to assisting military service members with both their employment and their military duties.

ESGR is a Department of Defense office that develops and promotes supportive work environments for service members in the National Guard and Reserve through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws. ESGR also provides assistance in resolving conflicts between Service members and their employers. This year, ESGR celebrates 50 years of excellence in support of the Reserve Components and their civilian employers.
