EDMONDS, Wash. – Trina Dalit, inventory coordinator at the Swedish Edmonds Campus, was presented with a Patriot Award, by Michael Kidd, volunteer for the Washington Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, in recognition of extraordinary support of her employee serving in the Army Reserve.
Dalit was nominated by Army Reserve Spc. Susan Nhi Le, a material management clerk at the Swedish Edmonds Campus. “Trina has made my ever changing schedule painless and always reassures me that she is proud of me for serving our country,” said Le.
“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees who have answered their nation’s call to serve,” said Kidd. “Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units. By valuing the military service of their Guard and Reserve employees, employers are directly supporting the readiness and retention of our All-Volunteer Force, and our national defense.”
“We are honored to have Le as part of our team here at Swedish,” said Dalit.
At the conclusion of the presentation Dalit also signed an ESGR Statement of Support. The Statement of Support confirms that the Swedish Edmonds Campus joins other employers in pledging:
“Swedish Edmonds Campus joins a cadre of Fortune 500 companies, state and federal, agencies and thousands of America’s employers in demonstrating support for our armed forces,” added Kidd. “By signing the Statement of Support, Swedish Edmonds Campus is sending a clear message to its employees that while they are serving their country, they do not have to worry about their civilian jobs.”
