MAPLE GROVE, Minn. – Boston Scientific supervisor Sonia James received an Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award Sept. 16. James was nominated for the award by Minnesota Army National Guard Sgt. Erik Olson for her support of his military duties.
Olson stated that he appreciated the support that was given to him and his family by James. Care packages were sent during two deployments, COVID assignment for 3 months and 6 months later he was called to duty for fourteen more months. His supervisor allowed Eric to pursue accreditation and degrees while he was working and provided unwavering support.
The award was presented by Minnesota ESGR Awards Director Jack Grams at Boston Scientific’s Maple Grove Campus.
