HECTOR, Minn. – Spc. John Hughes of the Minnesota Army National Guard, is presenting the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award to his supervisor Craig Carlson at Carlson’s Collision and Glass Sept. 7 at his workplace in Hector.

The award was given to Carlson for his support of his employee's service in the Minnesota Army National Guard. Hughes stated that Craig has always had his back when it comes to his National Guard duties. Craig thinks Hughes is doing great thing for the community and the State of Minnesota.

Hughes said that Craig kept in touch with him over the course of his year deployment and asked him if his family needed any help. Craig was there for them.  Most importantly Hughes said when he came back it was like he had never left.  Also present was Doug Broich the ESGR Region 3 Chair.
