LYNWOOD, Wash. – Precision Door Services Kevin Spratt, owner, and Chief Financial Officer Jay Swaun were awarded the Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award at their company office. The awards were presented by John Van Dalen, an ombudsman with the Washington ESGR. Precision Door Service was previously presented with the ESGR Above and Beyond Award in June 2022.
“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them have answered their nation’s call to serve,” said Van Dalen.
Spratt and Swaun were nominated by Air Force Reserve Sgt. Jaimee Brown who works in human resources at Precision Door Service. “I nominated both Kevin and Jay for making conscious effort working with me while I am deployed for short or long missions,” said Brown. “The Patriot Awards are a small “Thank You” to them for allowing for flexible work schedules which ensures all my company and military obligations are met.”
“I am surprised and honored to receive the Patriot Award and I continue to thank Jaimee for her service,” said Swaun. “I support Jaimee and our other military members who serve our county. Jaimee has an obligation and requires extra travel time and it’s important to the [Precision Door Service] family.”
ESGR, a Department of Defense office, seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States. This year, ESGR celebrates 50 years of excellence in support of the Reserve Components and their civilian employers.
