ESGR in the News

01

MILACA, Minn. – Toni Clariin from Central Minnesota Contract Manufacturing Services (CMCMS), Inc. received the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award. The ceremony held on April 29, 2022.  Minnesota United States Army Reservist Spc. Tavia Paumen nominated Toni.  Toni is the Business Manager for CMCMS and Tavia’s supervisor.

Minnesota ESGR Committee member Bob Boone participated in the Award Ceremony.

Tavia noted that Toni deserved a Patriot Award because she was totally supported when a short notice deployment came up to report to Fort McCoy in support of the Afghan Refugee mission.  This was despite the fact that Tavia had just started working at CMCMS.  Toni allowed time for extra phone calls from work and time away from work to pack and say goodbye to family.  Toni also checked in with Tavia from time to time to make sure her office was ready and waiting when Tavia returned from deployment.

Husband and Wife Roger and Toni Clarin own and operate CMCMS.   As CEO Roger was glad to sign a Statement of Support.  Roger stated that he and Toni wanted to fully support Tavia because in the short time she had worked for CMCMS she had proven to them the qualities of a great employee.  He went on to note that he was sure that many of those characteristics came from her military background.

ESGR is a Department of Defense program, which seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.
