KIRKLAND, Wash. – Patrol Sgt. Randi Crocker of the Kirkland Police Department received the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award recently by Dennis Newell, Washington ESGR employer outreach coordinator, in recognition for her support of her employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserves.
Crocker was nominated by Washington National Guardsman Capt. Jacob DesCamp, a patrol officer with the Kirkland Police Department. Sgt. Crocker is always very positive and supportive of my military service, and I am extremely grateful for her dedication to my continued success with the department,” said DesCamp. “She is most deserving of this award.”
“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees who have answered their nation’s call to serve,” said Newell. “By valuing the military service of their Guard and Reserve employees, employers are directly supporting the readiness and retention of our All-Volunteer Force, and our national defense.”
“I appreciate the recognition,” said Crocker. "We are fortunate to have several military veterans as KPD employees. They possess the skills, discipline, and motivation to excel and we always eager to add more veterans to our staff.”
