ESGR in the News

KALISPELL, Mont. – It is nice to be appreciated. Recently, Steffen Anderson of LinkUs Enterprises was presented with an Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award. The Patriot Award nomination came from his civilian employee Montana Army National Guard Spc. Joel Lentz. The nomination was presented to recognize Anderson as an employer providing outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to Specialist Lentz who leaves his civilian employment to serve our nation.

ESGR works to assure National Guard and Reserve military personnel are treated fairly and legally with regard to their civilian jobs. Their vision is to develop and promote a culture in which all American employers support and value the military service of their employees.

Montana ESGR volunteer Heather Merritt asked Anderson for a comment on the award. Anderson replied, “This is so cool.” It is cool and Montana ESGR wants to thank you Steffen Anderson and LinkUs Enterprise for hiring a Montana Guard member because when you hire a Guard member, you too are serving our country. Which is very cool!

As the members of the National Guard and Reserve continue to perform an increasing number of unique missions with America’s borders and beyond, ESGR is celebrating 50 years of being a resource for employers of citizen warriors. ESGR provides education, consultation, and if necessary mediation for employers of Guard and Reserve employees. More information about ESGR Employer Outreach Programs is available at www.esgr.mil.
