FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. – Pennsylvania ESGR Ombudsman held their annual one-day conference to discuss best practices in presenting Pre and Post Mobilization briefings to Guard and Reserve forces.  

Ombudsman took a three-page quiz to test their knowledge of USERRA and the responsibilities related to their position as case mediators.  The Ombudsman team also focused on briefing employers, handling USERRA cases, some of the nuances within USERRA as they relate to reporting back to work after training and mobilizations, and active service of up to five years.  

The day’s activities concluded with a review of several USERRA cases, case resolution, and the interactions among the mediator, service member and employer.
