ALEXANDRIA, Va. –­­­­­­­­­­­­­­ Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve announces the 2021 Regional Volunteers of the Year (VOTY). After being nominated by their State Chairs, these recipients were reviewed and recommended by Regional Awards Boards comprised of the State Chairs within each region.

The Regional Volunteers of the Year are further evaluated by the appropriate ESGR Subcommittee and Headquarters personnel to determine National Volunteers of the Year in each function/mission category.

ESGR, a Department of Defense program, seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States. ESGR develops and promotes supportive work environments for Service members in the Reserve Components through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws.
