ST. PAUL, Minn. – During a regular virtual meeting of a section of the Minnesota Department of Revenue, Jack Schultz accepted the Patriotic Employer award from Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve volunteer Christie Nixon Jan. 27.
Schultz was nominated for the award by Staff Sgt. Joe Kuschke, who works as a revenue specialist, for his support and flexibility during both short training and longer mobilizations for the Army Reserve. Schultz has been Kuschke’s supervisor for six years.
Kuschke is a Paralegal Noncommissioned Officer in the 214th Legal Operations Detachment at Ft. Snelling, Minnesota. He completed a one-year mobilization with the 1-340th Troop Support Battalion at the end of 2020.
Kuschke recognized his entire team for taking on additional workload in his absences, the timing of which has been less than predictable.
The Statement of Support for the Guard and Reserve will be signed by Revenue Commissioner Robert Doty at a later date.
