SEATTLE – Peter Arduino, wealth management managing director at Merrill Lynch in Seattle, was presented with a Patriot Award in recognition of his extraordinary support of an employee whose husband serves in the Washington Army National Guard. The award was presented in a virtual presentation by Washington ESGR volunteer Larry Kirchner.
Ardolino was nominated by Emily Lu, a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch whose husband serves in the Washington Army National Guard. Lu expressed her appreciation for the support and accommodation provided by Ardolino, citing his support and understanding the importance of our military and the impact it has on family life. “Mr. Ardolino has provided nothing but unwavering support for my husband’s service with the national guard. I feel honored to work for such a supportive and patriotic employer”.
“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, both those who serve as well as their family members who are impacted by the military commitment of their spouse,” said Kirchner, military outreach representative for the Washington Committee Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve . “Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units.”
ESGR, a Department of Defense program, seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.
