LYNDEN, WASH. – Faber Construction Vice President Ben Faber was presented with a ESGR Patriot Award on Oct. 29 at his office during a staff get-to-gather by John Van Dalen, an ombudsman for the Washington Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, in recognition of extraordinary support of his employees for serving in the United States Armed Forces.
Faber was nominated by Army Reserve Maj. Tom Landsberger, who is a commercial construction manager for Faber Construction in Lynden, Washington. “I nominated Ben for making conscious efforts to recognize active reservist and military veterans by thanking them for their service and allowing for flexible work schedules which ensures all military obligation are met since my duty assignment is in Denver, Colorado,” said Landsberger.
“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them have answered their nation’s call to serve,” said Van Dalen. “Supportive supervisors and managers are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units.”
“I was surprised and honored to receive the Patriot Award and I continue to thank Landsberger for his service” said Faber. “I support Ben and our other military members who serve our county. He has an obligation and requires extra travel time and it’s important for him.”
