ENUMCLAW, Wash. – Kyle Belton, CEO of Independent Electrical Contractors, Inc. at Enumclaw was presented with a Patriot Award by Larry Kirchner, military outreach representative for the Washington Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, in recognition of Belton’s extraordinary support of his employee who serves in the Washington Army National Guard.

Belton was nominated by Washington National Guardsman Staff Sgt. Richard Schutt, an electrician in his civilian career, for his support of his military service.  “The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve,” said Kirchner. “Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units.”

Schutt, expressed his appreciation for the support and accommodation provided by Mr. Belton, citing his support and understanding of his reserve military duties. “Mr. Belton has provided nothing but unwavering support for my service with the national guard during the tumultuous year of 2020 and the beginning of 2021,” said Schutt. “I feel honored to work for such a supportive and patriotic employer”.

ESGR, a Department of Defense program, seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.
