LAKELAND, Fla. – Branch Manager Richard Sandoval of Jenkins Restorations, Inc. received the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award for his support of the Guard and Reserve members that work for Jenkins.
Sandoval was nominated for the award by Florida Army National Guard Lt. Sebastian Ball. Roger Trout, Florida ESGR vice chair presented the award to Redmond.
“My supervisor was willing to trust and work with me while away in support of COVID operations,” said Ball. “He allowed me to focus on the mission when required and use down time, when it was afforded, to work on my civilian operations. During these recent months of orders, he would reach out to me and check on my family situation and not mention the urgent need of getting back to civilian employment.”
Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense program established in 1972. The Florida committee is chaired by retired Army Maj. Gen. Rita Broadway. The mission of ESGR is to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the law, and resolving conflict through mediation.
