ESGR in the News

WEST FARGO, N.D. – Michael Gullickson, Valor Contracting President, received the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award June 15 for the support he provides his employee Capt. Josh Baneck who serves in the North Dakota Army National Guard.

The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees who have answered their nation’s call to serve.

“It certainly makes it easier to do my job here (while deployed), knowing that Michael is willing to hold my civilian job for me, I really appreciate that,” said Baneck.

“Thank you for your service Josh and what you do for our country and the freedoms you give to us ordinary citizens do not go unnoticed; we want you to know that we are supporting you and appreciate what you do and we are anxious for you to come back,” said Gullickson.

Valor Contracting joins a cadre of Fortune 500 companies, state and federal, agencies and thousands of American’s employers in demonstrating support for our armed forces, added North Dakota State vice Chair, David Johnston.  “By signing the Statement of Support, Valor Contracting is sending a clear message to its employees that while they are serving their country, they do not have to worry about their civilian jobs.”

ESGR is a Department of Defense program that develops and promotes supportive work environments for service members in the National Guard and Reserve through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws.
