ESGR in the News

ELIZABETH, W.Va. – Danette Hardbarger, Wirt County Board of Education, received the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award recently for the extraordinary support she provides Sgt. Joseph Villers of the Army National Guard.

“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees who have answered their nation’s call to serve,” said Dave Cyrus, WV-ESGR Program Support Specialist.

“While I have been away from work supporting the state’s COVID-19 mission Dee has been incredibly supportive to both myself and my wife.   She goes out of her way to ensure my wife is doing well.” stated Villers

ESGR is a Department of Defense program that develops and promotes a supportive work environment for service members in the National Guard and Reserve through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws. ESGR also provides assistance in resolving conflicts between Service members and their employers.
