REDMOND, Wash. – Kimberly Tripp Randal, president and founder of SQLskills at Redmond, was presented with an Above and Beyond Award and a Patriot Award in recognition of the firm’s extraordinary support of an employee who serves in the United States Army Reserve.

The award presentation were arranged by Larry Kirchner, military outreach representative for the Washington Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.  Randal was nominated by Army Reserve Sgt. 1st Class Jonathan Kehayias, a principal consultant in his civilian position service.

“The Above and Beyond Award was created by ESGR to recognize employers at the local level who have gone above and beyond the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act by providing their Guard and Reserve employees additional, non-mandated benefits,” said Kirchner. “The award is given in a limited number by state committees to employers who have also been recognized with an ESGR Patriot Award.  The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve.”

Kehayias expressed his appreciation for the support and accommodation provided by Ms. Randal, recognizing her flexibility and support when Kehayias joined SQLskills. “The support provided by Randal and SQLskills have been invaluable to my family and myself” said Kehayias.

ESGR, a Department of Defense program, seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.
