HORSHAM, Pa. – Memorial Day is close at hand. This is the day we remember the service and sacrifice of our military members who served and died to preserve our freedom and liberties. One of the most moving ceremonies held close Memorial Day is the annual service held at the 28th Division Shrine at Boalsburg, Pennsylvania.
The 28th honors their soldiers killed in action from all wars at this event.
I have attended these inspirational services for 27 years. Unfortunately, COVID 19 has cancelled the service this year. In spite of this, our memory and appreciation for the service or our troops marches on.
The Division Shrine covers 15 acres in the middle of “Happy Valley” just east of State College. Enjoy these pictures of the last several services held there and always “remember”.
