  • Quehanna Boot Camp Received a Seven Seals Award

KARTHAUS, Pa. – Pennsylvania Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve awarded a Seven Seals Award to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections Quehanna Boot Camp.   

Terry Curran, Pennsylvania ESGR Ombudsman Director presented the award to supervisor Mary Natoli.  The award was given in recognition of the facility’s outstanding support of the Guard and reserves working at the Boot Camp.

Staff Sgt. Lucas Butler of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard who nominated the Boot Camp for the Seven Seals Award, is a corrections officer at the facility.  In accepting the award, Superintendent Natoli said: “We are very honored to receive this award and to be recognized by the ESGR … We are proud to support all our military service members and veterans working in our facility, and we will continue to do everything we can to ensure these members have all the support they need.”

The Seven Seals Award is presented in recognition of significant individual or organizational achievement, initiative, or support that promotes and supports the ESGR mission, to include the efforts of the more than 3,500 volunteers who carry out ESGR’s mission across the Nation on a daily basis.
