DOWNEY, Calif. – On behalf of the California Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, volunteer Tom Bell presented Rosalia Casapa, Jacqueline Constantino and Maria Cordova with a Patriot Award recently. Casapa, Constantino and Cordova received the award because of the extraordinary support they provide their California Army National Guard employee, 1st Lt. John Mulllee.

“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve,” said Jim Combs, California ESGR state chair. “Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units.”

“Rosie is extremely supportive of my personal and professional growth/commitment to the CA ARNG. Rosie has gone above and beyond to help ensure that I am prepared for my deployment. Rosie's support of me and the CA ARNG enables mission success,” said Mullee.

Mullee went on to say, “Jacque is extremely supportive of my personal and professional growth/commitment to the CA ARNG. Jacque has gone above and beyond to help ensure that I am prepared for my deployment. Jacque's support of me and the California Army National Guard enables mission success. Regardless of how much notice I am able give or how much time is needed, Jacque is always supportive of me and the military. Maria is extremely supportive of my personal and professional growth/commitment to the California Army National Guard. Maria has gone above and beyond to help ensure that I am prepared for my deployment. Maria's support of me and the CA ARNG enables mission success. Regardless of how often or how long I am gone, Maria always ensures that my patients receive their needed care/treatment. Maria will do whatever it takes to free my schedule so that I can serve in the California Army National Guard.”

ESGR, a Department of Defense program, seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and values the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.
