DRESDEN, Tenn. – Tennessee Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a Department of Defense program, announced Aug. 4 the ESGR Patriotic Employer Award was presented to Sheriff Mike Wilson and Chief Deputy Mark Black of the Weakley County Sheriff Department.

Wilson and Black were nominated by Sgt. James Merrell Sr. a member of the 1171st Transportation Company, Tennessee Army National Guard, in Union City. Merrell expressed his gratitude for the support of his employers and fellow employees while performing his military duties. The awards were presented by ESGR Volunteer, Joy Scott and ESGR Administrative Support Technician, Shirley Mitchusson Lee.

Scott and Lee expressed their thanks to Sheriff Mike Wilson and Chief Deputy Mark Black for their support of service members and to Sgt. James Merrell Sr. his  service.
