(Ret) Simonet served as the Minnesota Committee State Chair from 2017-2023. Military personnel are considered for the Flight of Honor Induction Program on the basis of heroism or distinguished professional achievement and service by attaining uncommon prestige as a member of the MN ANG. “Uncommon prestige” implies strong, proactive leadership in key positions of responsibility impacting the MN ANG; consistent, prolonged commitment to excellence, both in one's own performance and in the level of expectation and support given for the performance of others; and exemplary ethical behavior, on and off duty. ESGR is a Department of Defense office that develops and promotes supportive work environments for service members in the National Guard and Reserve through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws. ESGR also provides assistance in resolving conflicts between Service members and their employers. This year, ESGR celebrates over 52 years of excellence in support of the Reserve Components and their civilian employers.
