FERGUS FALLS, Minn. - Minnesota Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Committee Chair Chad Sackett presented the Seven Seals award to the Otter Tail County Board. The award was presented on October 8th during a county board meeting. The award recognized the counties sustained support of employee service members through policies, procedures and practices. Accepting the award on behalf of the county board was Commissioner Kurt Mortenson. Members of the board highlighted that this award is representative of the county’s supervisors and employees, along with past commissioners.
The ESGR Seven Seals Award is presented at the discretion of the State Chair or ESGR senior leadership. The Seven Seals Award is presented in recognition of significant individual or organizational achievement, initiative, or support that promotes and supports the ESGR mission. Also present for the Minnesota ESGR committee were Lois Robinson, Region 1 Chair, and Ron Lindgren, Region 1 Co-Chair.
ESGR is a Department of Defense office that develops and promotes supportive work environments for service members in the National Guard and Reserve through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws. ESGR also provides assistance in resolving conflicts between Service members and their employers. This year, ESGR celebrates over 52 years of excellence in support of the Reserve Components and their civilian employers.
