LITTLE FALLS, Minn. – Minnesota Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Committee Chair Chad Sackett presented the national ESGR Volunteer of the Year Award for Public Affairs to Minnesota Committee member Robert Adams. The award was presented to Robert recently during the Minnesota ESGR leadership meeting at the Camp Ripley Training Center for his sustained outstanding performance in 2023.
The Volunteer of the Year Award is a national level ESGR award established to recognize those volunteers who have made significant contributions in ESGR’s primary functional areas during the previous fiscal year. Robert’s efforts were key to making Minnesota a top state in recognizing the committee’s efforts to promote work environments that support and value reserve component service members.
ESGR is a Department of Defense office that develops and promotes supportive work environments for service members in the National Guard and Reserve through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws. ESGR also provides assistance in resolving conflicts between Service members and their employers. This year, ESGR celebrates over 52 years of excellence in support of the Reserve Components and their civilian employers.
