CLEARWATER, Fla. – Callie Herold, from Pinellas County Government, received the Department of Defense Patriot Award for her support of employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve. Roger Trout, Florida ESGR volunteer and chair emeritus, presented the award to Herold at the Pinellas County Government Offices May 13.

Rob Lowery, who is a Pinellas County Government employee and serves as a lieutenant in the Florida National Guard, nominated Herold for the recognition.

“Callie has assisted and provided unwavering support to my activations and sometimes sporadic drill schedule,” said Lowery. “She has assisted me in coordination of work while I’m away and assisted in providing clarification on county policies in pay/benefits while I am away.”
