ESGR in the News

WELCH, Minn. – Army National Guard Sgt.1st Class Joseph Nasal nominated four individuals for the Department of Defense Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve’s (ESGR) Patriot Award. They are key members of the team within the security network at Treasure Island Resort and Casino where he works.

The award was given on recently at the casino in recognition of his appreciation of the continued support and assistance from many within Treasure Island. He wished he could have recognized even more other people at the casino.

Nasal, who is deployed at this time, emphasized how supportive, flexible, and caring he found the Treasure Island culture regarding his military obligations over the past years. There were many present and he was openly proud of those that supported those that served. Also, present was Everett Doolittle, an ESGR Ombudsman/Minnesota Committee member. ESGR is a Department of Defense office that develops and promotes supportive work environments for service members in the National Guard and Reserve through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws.
