GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. – U.S. Air Force Reserve Staff Sgt. Diana Morales-Carlson of the 934th Airlift Wing, nominated her Mortenson Construction supervisor Ellie Domich for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award.
Morales-Carlson praised her supervisor for sending care packages to her as well as making sure her family was taken care of during her extensive deployment. Regular emails by Ellie reassured Diana that her family was okay, and her return home was not going to be a problem. A group of about 50 employees were present during the Patriot Award presentation at the Mortenson Construction headquarter complex. David Mortenson, Chairman, praised both the supervisor and the service member for exemplifying the patriotic family culture at Mortenson Construction. Mortenson is ex-Navy and is proud of his service and gave high praise for his employees.
