ESGR in the News

PLYMOUTH, Mich. – Congratulations to Steve English, EMC Manager at TÜV SÜD America, Inc. for receiving the ESGR Patriot Award. English was nominated by Petty Officer 1st Class Dean Harris of the Navy Reserve.

"My service in the Navy Reserve has never been an issue with my supervisor, Mr. Steve English, at TUV SUD America Inc,” said Harris. “As a naturalized citizen of the United States, Mr. English understands how important it is to support the individuals who serve. I have currently served on orders for the last 10 months and have done funeral honors since 2019. Mr. English has made sure that my benefits and seniority have continued to be in place. Never once was my service been a question of my employment. Even during my current extended set of orders I received my annual pay increase.”

Harris went on to say, “To maintain my proficiency in my position they have given me the liberty to work on weekends if I choose,” said Harris. “They did this for me at my request. I was assured that ample training would be provided for me once I returned on a full-time basis if needed. As a proud member of the Navy Reserve I am glad to have someone like Mr. English as my supervisor so I have a peace of mind with my civilian employment and provides my financial security.”

Thank you English and TUD SUV America, Inc. for supporting our Service Members.
