ST. PAUL, Minn. – On September 15 the 334 Brigade Engineer Battalion (BEB) conducted a Bosslift for twenty-seven Soldier member employers. The day started with a Chinook helicopter ride from the Army Aviation Support Facility 1 in St. Paul to Camp Ripley.

The employers were then ground transported downrange to the Combined Arms Collective Training Facility (CACTF). At the CACTF employers were briefed on Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) and signed 27 Statements of Support for service member rights to employment. This was followed up by 334 BEB briefings on their organizational structure, mission capabilities and current training. After the briefings employers met with their soldiers to have lunch and observe the day’s training which was civil disturbance training.

ESGR is a Department of Defense office that develops and promotes supportive work environments for service members in the National Guard and Reserve through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws. ESGR also provides assistance in resolving conflicts between Service members and their employers.
