CAMP RIPLEY, Minn. – The 134th Brigade Support Battalion (BSB) conducted an Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Bosslift for soldier member employers June 9.

Part of the group rode to Camp Ripley on an Army Chinook helicopter from St. Paul Minnesota. Other employers lived near Camp Ripley and drove there. The day consisted of a Chinook ride for all the employers; a tour of the Camp Ripley Combined Maintenance facility; Brigade commander and ESGR Briefings; and a trip to the field to meet with soldiers and observe Mark 19 weapons firing. The employers were given a thorough look at the lives of their service members performing their military duties.

Bob Boone of Minnesota ESGR coordinated the Bosslift and gave the ESGR briefing on the employment rights of the Guard and Reserve service members

ESGR is a Department of Defense office that develops and promotes supportive work environments for service members in the National Guard and Reserve through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws. ESGR also provides assistance in resolving conflicts between Service members and their employers.

ESGR celebrates over 51 years of excellence in support of the Reserve Components and their civilian employers. For more information about ESGR outreach programs or volunteer opportunities, call (800) 336-4590 or visit www.ESGR.mil.
