ODESSA, Wash. –Brett Antczak, CEO of Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center, was presented a Patriot Award by Ken Isaak, employer outreach coordinator with the Washington Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.

Antczak was nominated by Washington Air National Guard Tech. Sgt. Bill Taft. “I am the only member of the hospital information technology team, but my boss [Antczak] understands the need for sometimes short notice schedule changes and has fully supported me in every capacity possible,” said Taft. “He is the embodiment of what it means to support Air National Guard members in performance of their mission.”

“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen Isaak. “Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units.”

During the presentation, which occurred at a staff meeting, Isaak explained the purpose of the ESGR organization to the staff. Nancy Reid Isaak, also with Washington ESGR, spoke about the ESGR motto “We All Serve” and pointed out the many ways each person in the room is important to our national defense.
