ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Chief Petty Officer Kevin Blake of the Navy Reserve, is presenting the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award to his civilian supervisor, Diane Buschena-Brenna of CentraCare. The award was given May 31 at the St. Cloud Hospital in recognition of Buschena-Brenna’s support of Blake’s service to the Navy Reserve.

Blake was very appreciative of Diane’s support and assistance with his service and wanted to honor her. He stated that Diane is extremely supportive and encouraging of military service and is very accommodating of his service to the Navy. Also present was Chad Sackett, an ESGR Minnesota Committee member.

ESGR is a Department of Defense office that develops and promotes supportive work environments for service members in the National Guard and Reserve through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws. ESGR also provides assistance in resolving conflicts between Service members and their employers.
