BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Maj. Carlos Zamora, U.S. Army Reserve, presented the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award to his civilian employment supervisor, Martin Robinson, the Transportation Security Administration’s Federal Security Director for Minnesota. The award was given Jan. 27 at TSA the offices in Bloomington.
Zamora, a Civil Affairs leader in the Army Reserve, is currently deployed so could not attend an award presentation. He cited his great appreciation for Marty’s support of his individual duty commitments, like this deployment, and also for unique measures beyond that. Marty enabled valuable access to real world training on airport operations for MAJ Zamora’s unit, making them all better prepared for their worldwide mission.
ESGR is a Department of Defense office that develops and promotes supportive work environments for service members in the National Guard and Reserve through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws. ESGR also assists in resolving conflicts between Service members and their employers. In 2022, ESGR celebrated 51 years of excellence in support of the Reserve Components and their civilian employers.
