MANKATO, Minn. – Congratulations to Brian Taylor, Mankato Motors for receiving the ESGR Patriot Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) in recognition of his support for his employee.
Brian was nominated by his employee National Guardsman Spc. Connor Waddick. The award was presented in late December. Connor, along with Trish Gathje ESGR volunteer, presented the Patriot Award to Brian in Mankato at Mankato Motors, Co. Connor, an employee of Mankato Motors states: “Brian is always supportive of me when I need to be gone and has been nothing but understanding of my required duties and missions. It is great to know that whatever circumstances may come forth in the future, I will have the high support from my employer.” ESGR is a Department of Defense office that develops and promotes supportive work environments for service member in the National Guard and Reserve through outreach, recognition and educational opportunities and increase awareness of applicable laws. ESGR also provides assistance in resolving conflicts between Service members and their employers. This year, ESGR celebrates 51 years of excellence in support of the Reserve Components and their civilian employers.
