ORONOCO, Minn. – U.S. Army National Guard Capt. Daniel LaMaack presented the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award to his employment supervisor, Nick Woetzel, People's Energy Cooperative Line superintendent.
The award was given Dec. 29 at People's Energy Cooperative in recognition of Nick's support of Daniel's military training requirements. The Cooperative is staffed by 65 professionals, many of whom were present during the presentation. They all stand ready to deliver on their mission to deliver electricity to over 20,000 members in six Minnesota Southeast counties.
ESGR is a Department of Defense office that develops and promotes supportive work environments for service members of the National Guard and Reserve through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws. ESGR also provides assistance in resolving conflicts between Service members and their employers. This year, ESGR celebrates 50 years of excellence in support of Guard Components and their civilian employers.
