FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich - Congratulations to Brad Kaufman, retail merchandising supervisor at Mondelēz International for receiving the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award. ESGR volunteer Fred Kaiser presented Kaufman with the award at their Farmington Hills office.

Kaufman was nominated by Tech. Sgt. Chase Jacks who is a sales specialist at Mondelez International.

Jacks, who serves in the Air National Guard said, "I was recently activated … on a seven month long deployment which required me to be away from my job for almost a full year. While deployed, my supervisor, Brad Kaufman, not only kept my position open for me but welcomed me back with open arms and provided me the additional time I needed to reintegrate and reconnect with family.”

“I have also been assigned to attend a number of trainings that have required me to miss a lot of time from work throughout the years,” added Jacks. “Brad has always been more than understanding and supportive. Despite being an hourly employee with sometimes sporadic availability, he has provided me opportunities for growth, flexibility to pursue my bachelor’s degree and an encouraging work environment. He truly deserves the Patriot Award and consideration for additional recognition.”
