Minnetonka, Minn. -- Cpl. Christain Hess, Army National Guard nominated his employment supervisor, Nick Pelle, for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award. The Award was given Nov. 17 at GOLFTEC's Minnetonka Minnesota location.
Hess was very appreciative of Nick Pelle's support and assistance with his service in the Army National Guard, D Co 334 BEB. Presenting the Patriot Award is Jack J Grams, Minnesota Awards Director. ESGR is a Department of Defense office that develops and promotes supportive work environments for service members in the National Guard and Reserves through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of the applicable law. ESGR also provides assistance in resolving conflicts between Service members and their employers. This year ESGR celebrates 50 years of excellence in support of the Reserve Components and their civilian employers.
