JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCHORD, Wash. – Brian Humphrey, senior executive officer at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection was presented with a Patriot Award by Huy Nguyen, a volunteer with the Washington Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee, in recognition of extraordinary support of his employees serving in the Guard and Reserve. Humphrey was nominated by Air Force Reserve Master Sgt. James Steiner, a supervisory program manager at the CBP.
“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees who have answered their nation’s call to serve,” said Nguyen. “By valuing the military service of their Guard and Reserve employees, employers are directly supporting the readiness and retention of our All-Volunteer Force, and our national defense.”
“I am glad to have this opportunity and I always support our Reserve and National Guard members who work at the CBP,” said Humphrey at the presentation.
