TACOMA, Wash.– The Washington Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee held its Annual Planning and Awards Meeting (APAM) at the Tacoma Marriot in Tacoma recently.
JOINT-BASE LEWIS MCCHORD, Wash. – A U.S. embassy in a region in crisis. Embassy staff are in need of evacuation. A C-17 piloted and crewed by Air Force Reserve Airmen of the 446th Airlift Wing, flies in, lands, and with engine running, picks up 39 embassy staff and takes off.

Luke Noyes of the Army Reserve, is presenting the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award to his civilian supervisors, Cody Strandberg and John Schultz. The awards were given May 31 at the Clearwater Blaine Brothers location in recognition of Strandberg and Schultz’s support of Noyes service to the Army Reserve.
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Chief Petty Officer Kevin Blake of the Navy Reserve, is presenting the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award to his civilian supervisor, Diane Buschena-Brenna of CentraCare. The award was given May 31 at the St. Cloud Hospital in recognition of Buschena-Brenna’s support of Blake’s service to the Navy Reserve.
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The YMCA of the North held a Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Proclamation Ceremony at their 1761 University Avenue West location May 16. It was the 80th Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Certification in Minnesota to date. Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar gave an inspiring video message, as she was in session in Washington, to an audience of approximately 150 people.
