Fiscal Year 2020 Annual Review

In 2020, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve continued to promote supportive work environments for our National Guard and Reserve Service members through over 2,200 military and employer outreach events.

The overwhelming successes shown throughout 2020 were a direct result of the tremendous efforts from our team of nearly 3,300 volunteers, whose combined total of 132,747 hours equates to a $3.6 million return on investment. This, coupled with the positive resolution of 1,021 Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) cases, resulted in a $3.89 million cost avoidance to the Federal government, for a total savings of $7.5 million. These results are a testament to our volunteers, supportive employers, ESGR staff, and the men and women who proudly serve in the National Guard and Reserve.
