ESGR, a Department of Defense office, is comprised of dedicated and trained volunteers and staff. We will develop and promote employer support for Guard and Reserve service by advocating relevant initiatives, recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of applicable laws, and resolving conflict between employers and service members.

 

ESGR informs and educates service members and their civilian employers regarding their rights and responsibilities governed by the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA). ESGR does not have statutory authority to enforce, but serves as a neutral, free resource to employers and service members. ESGR’s trained ombudsmen provide mediation of issues relating to compliance with USERRA.

October 17, 2014Sony Pictures Entertainment signs Statement of Support for the Guard and Reserve
CULVER CITY, Calif. – Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense office, announced that Michael Lynton, Chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), today signed a Statement of Support for the Guard and Reserve. Lynton signed the pledge in a ceremony held at the SPE Lot in Culver City. He was joined by Paul Mock, ESGR National Chairman. Learn More.
October 15, 2014Schwan’s Home Service, Inc. signs “Statement of Support” at Military Hiring Event

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) and Hero2Hired teamed up with Schwan’s Home Service, Inc. at the Bloomington, Minnesota Armory Oct. 7 to hold a military-hiring event for transitioning military members, veterans and military spouses. Schwan’s goal is to hire 11 veterans in the Twin Cities area by 11/11 — Veterans Day.
