Montana Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (MT ESGR) has 26 dedicated volunteers and staff working throughout the Big Sky Country to gain and maintain employer support for the Guard and Reserve by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the Uniformed Services Employment Reemployment Rights Act, resolving conflicts through mediation, and connecting military service members and veterans with employment resources.

MT ESGR strives to develop and promote a culture in which Montana employers support and value the military service of their employees.  Employers are encouraged to hire Guard and Reserve members who represent drug-free employees and enrich a workplace with leadership and professionalism.  Appreciation for civilian employers is promoted among the Guard and Reserve with nominations for special Department of Defense awards.

HELENA, Mont. – Montana Secretary of State Linda McCulloch graciously penned her name on an Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Statement of Support certificate to publically show her support of Montana’s Guard and Reserve members. Montana Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Chair Emeritus, Mike Flaherty, explained to her the significance behind the signing.

August 27, 2014Eight Job Fairs offered employment and education opportunities for Montana military
HELENA, Mont. – The last of eight job fairs in Montana saw the successful completion of a strategic alliance between Montana Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) and the Montana Department of Labor. The two joined together for a third year to offer job fairs in eight cities across the state offering Montana Guard and Reserve members and the general public opportunities for employment.
