ESGR, a Department of Defense office, is comprised of dedicated and trained volunteers and staff. We will develop and promote employer support for Guard and Reserve service by advocating relevant initiatives, recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of applicable laws, and resolving conflict between employers and service members.

ESGR informs and educates service members and their civilian employers regarding their rights and responsibilities governed by the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA). ESGR does not have statutory authority to enforce, but serves as a neutral, free resource to employers and service members. ESGR’s trained ombudsmen provide mediation of issues relating to compliance with USERRA.

November 17, 2014Alexius Health Clinical coordinators honored by Department of Defense with Patriot Awards

BISMARCK, N.D. - CHI St. Alexius Health Clinical Coordinators Raumi Kudrna, and Kristen Renner, recently received the Patriot Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). Kudrna and Renner were nominated by Staff Sgt. Lance Good, North Dakota National Guard, state Medical Detachment. Good is an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse at CHI St. Alexius Health.

October 17, 2014Sony Pictures Entertainment signs Statement of Support for the Guard and Reserve
CULVER CITY, Calif. – Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense office, announced that Michael Lynton, Chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), today signed a Statement of Support for the Guard and Reserve.
