Indiana Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (INESGR) is a Department of Defense agency, led and operated by dedicated volunteers and staff whose mission is to gain and maintain employer support for the Guard and Reserve by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of USERRA, resolving conflicts through mediation and developing initiatives to increase employment opportunities for military service members and veterans.

With the dedication of over 75 volunteers across Indiana, ESGR reaches out to employers and military service members in functional areas such as Employer and Military Outreach, Public Affairs, Mediation, Training, and Employment Programs throughout the State.

ARLINGTON, Va. – Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel has selected Major General (Ret.) Paul E. Mock as the National Chair for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). ESGR’s National Chair is an official Department of Defense volunteer position. The position carries a three-year term and the protocol status of a military four-star flag or general officer. May 24, 2013ESGR Announces Thirty Finalists for 2013 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award

ARLINGTON, Va. –­­­­­­­­­­­­­­ Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense office, announced 30 employers as finalists for the 2013 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. The Freedom Award is the DoD’s highest recognition given to employers for exceptional support of employees serving in the National Guard and Reserve.  A review board comprised of military and civilian leaders selected the top 30 employers from a pool of 2,899 nominations submitted earlier this year by National Guard and Reserve Service members.
