CHARLOTTE, NC; May 15, 2013 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) and Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense office, announced today that Accenture will sign a Statement of Support for the Guard and Reserve. The signing will occur as part of a day of resume development and interview skill workshops that Accenture is hosting at the North Carolina Employment Security Commission Offices on May 21, 2013. Mike Salvino, Accenture’s group chief executive for Business Process Outsourcing will sign the pledge and will be joined by Bud Baker, chairman of the North Carolina ESGR Committee.

Spadaro, a lieutenant colonel with Florida's Broward Sheriff's Office and Certified Jail Manager, signed the pledge during the business luncheon of AJA's 32nd Annual Training Conference & Jail Expo in Grand Rapids, Michigan. ARLINGTON, Va. – Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense operational committee, announced that 138 employers have been selected as semifinalists for the 2013 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. The Freedom Award is the DoD’s highest honor for employers that provide extraordinary support to their Guard and Reserve employees. This year’s semifinalists stood out among 2,899 employers nominated by a Guard or Reserve employee.
