HONOLULU – Director of Maintenance Mike Kimble for Transair Hawaii was presented with a Patriot Award Sept. 6 in recognition of his continued support provided to a Hawaii Army National Guard soldier.

Kimble was nominated for being highly supportive of his employee Spc. Kyle Schrader, Hawaii Army National Guard.

“Most of my maintainers are either prior service military or are serving in the National Guard or Reserves.  These individuals are great workers and displays a lot of discipline, professionalism and experience.  I am always looking for the individual with a military background in aviation to work for our company,” stated Kimble.

“Supervisors like Kimble understand the importance of the work his employee accomplishes in the military and ensures our National Guard and Reserve service members are cared for while they are away and when then return” said Samuel Wong, National Guard Employer Support Program Support Specialist, who attended the presentation.

At the conclusion of the Patriot Award presentation, Mike Kimble signed the Statement of Support attesting to the support provided to his employees serving in the National Guard and Reserve.
